This Modern Oushak Style Zigler Rug presents Some modern Oushak style productions are also made in Afghanistan , but the appearance of this piece strongly recalls Turkish tradition.

Although the design is clearly inspired by Turkish Oushaks, many modern carpets with this aesthetic are now knotted in Afghanistan, especially in the Mazar-e Sharif and Andkhoy areas, where artisans produce beautiful “Oushak-style” rugs using hand-spun wool and natural dyes.

Very soft wool but with a slightly more compact texture than true Turkish Oushaks;
