here is the history From as far back as 1985-86 we began to deal with Persian and Oriental carpets, initially in a cultural form by organizing exhibitions, exhibiting specimens of hand-knotted Persian and Oriental carpets of special value.
The particular curiosity shown by visitors for the craftsmanship of carpets prompted me to do thorough research to establish a more detailed account of the history and technique of Persian and Oriental carpet production, discovering the types of knots and production as well as the importance of materials such as wool, silk and cotton.
I also tried to elaborate on the nature of the colors and dyes used, along with the type of patterns that make up the motifs, both of which are important steps in the production of an Oriental Persian carpet.
Among the most popular and popular specimens are the Esfahan (or Isfahan) in wool and silk from the eponymous capital city of Persian culture, the Tabriz produced in the Azerbaijan region, the Nain created exclusively with wool and silk, and finally two other excellent names such as Kashan and Kerman known for classic Persian motifs and various shades of red, which are now also designed in modern style with contemporary motifs for minimal environments.
In 1990, at the end of my university studies, I decided to start a business path with carpets by opening a showroom in downtown Cinisello Balsamo in the Milanese hinterland. From that moment on, I began to present Persian and Oriental carpets as handcrafted objects to beautify and complete the decor of a home, trying to converse with the tastes of my clients and potential clients, presenting designs and colors that are always particular to help them choose tastefully and, at the same time, make them appreciate what are the artistic and craft values of these carpets.
After becoming the benchmark for Persian and Oriental rugs in Lombardy, we decided to expand our horizons by integrating our site with an e-commerce to reach places outside Lombardy as well and allow the online purchase of our rugs throughout Italy and Europe.
With our e-commerce “Persian and Oriental RugsOnline,” we continue to communicate the news and history of our rugs through our blog and our online offerings, while also offering a service of washing and repair, which are very important for the maintenance of a rug.
