Kelardasht village is located in northern Iran, south of the Caspian Sea, near the Alborz mountain range. The carpets that are produced here are different from others but very well known for various ancient works.
The patterns of these carpets usually consist of hexagons surrounded by white lines and sometimes a scarab in the center. In the central part of the carpet and on the border, there are decorative figures with flowers. The background color is usually brick red with dark blue and brown as dominant colors. The pile is composed of thick and soft wool, the warp of cotton, and the knots are Turkish. The carpet is very strong and durable
