Kashan 1950s
The 1950s Kashan carpet pictured in the photo dates from the 1950s heyday of high-quality carpet making in Persia.
In every Iranian home there is a carpet Khashan or Keishan as they are large in size and perfectly represent Persian culture and therefore very much liked by the people and also kashan carpets are knotted with wool from the sheep that farmers raise , in some cases especially in very fine carpets they use merino wool , that is, twisted wool or called kork wool in Persian which is very soft and fluffy.
