Berkana rugs are Chinese carpets inspired by the Iranian Kerman style. Although they were initially considered mere imitations, today the opinion about these rugs has changed dramatically as the quality of Berkana is more or less equal to the quality of most Persian knotted rugs from the 1980s onward. Berkana rugs are cotton warp floral rugs, and the floral decoration throughout the rug is very detailed and gives a sense of serenity, partly due to the light blue borders and milky white background. Predominant colors include light blue and blue.
